Proposal with one engagement ring or both?

by Craig

: My mother left me her wedding set when she passed away while I was in my teens. I've finally found someone special that I will be asking to be my wife. When I propose, do I present the ring set or just the engagement ring? The engagement ring is a 2.5 ct Marguis band with 2 baquettes and the wedding band is just a couple more baquettes that fit match the engagement ring and surround the main diamond.

Hi Craig,
I think it's very sweet that you are proposing with your mother's bridal jewelry. I think your woman will be very touched by the sentiment.

As far as your question is concerned, I would just propose with the engagement ring band. You can explain during or after the proposal that you are looking forward to placing the matching band on her finger on your wedding day. (To get a second opinion, I asked my husband what he thought, and he agreed with me).
