Help with Engagement Ring Setting?

I'm trying to find the perfect ring (obviously). I have choosen a ring type (platinum) and a gem (purple sapphire) as I refuse to buy any diamonds!



I need help finding a good setting. I don't want one that sticks up too far, like the thin ring with the big diamond sticking up off it. I want something lower then that, and something wihtout the 'typical' wedding ring look, if that makes sense.
