When considering a ring that you'd like to wear on a daily basis, you are smart to consider your lifestyle. Since you use your hands all day, the ring must be able to withstand a lot of wear and tear. The tanzanite has a 6.5 on the Mohs scale while the aquamarine is considered significantly stronger with a 7.5 on the Mohs scale (a diamond is a 10- the highest the scale goes up to). So if choosing between the stones, I'd go with the aquamarine. I'd avoid the vintage pieces as those are not
made to withstand daily wear and tear. Instead go for a current piece that has an antique look. For this reason, you may want to also avoid the pave and go with a solid platinum band with a large stone and two smaller sidestones
